If Jesus tells us not to do something, yet we do it, don’t you think that would be considered sin? In Matthew chapter 6 Jesus tells us several times….”Do not worry!”
Worry does no good for our situations and in fact opens the door to fear. Someone once said that worry was like a rocking chair. It keeps you busy but doesn’t get you anywhere.
You may think it is impossible for you NOT to worry, but God never tells us to do something that He doesn’t give us the ability to do. We CAN refuse to worry! We CAN decide to quit thinking and talking about how bad our situations are and begin to think and talk about what God says concerning those situations. THAT is what will bring God on the scene and bring us the victory we need!
I Peter 5:6-7 "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you."
Father, I am thankful that you have given me the ability to NOT worry! I refuse to dwell on and worry about the negative situations in my life. I decide instead to think on and speak what YOUR WORD says about them. I decide to put my trust in you! I know you care for me and will help me through each circumstance I must face.I believe You will bring me through to victory. I put my trust in You!"
