Wednesday Weapon 12.14.11

Luke 2:14 (NKJV) “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:    “ Glory to God in the highest,   And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

We were given so much through the gift of the Lord Jesus Christ,our savior! Yet, we can get so caught up in all that the holiday entails, that we are missing the real message behind the "GIFT".

Part of what His birth brought us was the gift of PEACE! Boy does this world need peace! Not only the world, but us individually! With all the hustle and bustle it can seem that we have anything BUT peace during this time of the year. Many people are not enjoying the season because they are feeling overwhelmed with all that seems to be negative in their lives.

Look at this scripture: Psalm 55:18 (NKJV)¹⁸ He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me,......

Notice it doesn't say there will be no battles. But that He will redeem our soul in peace. That same peace that was pronounced at the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

One of the most powerful weapons we have is being able to manifest the peace of God right in the middle of all our problems. When we do that, God can work in our life!

Father God, thank you so much for the gift of your Son Jesus Christ! I do not want to miss a single part of that Gift. I want all that You intended me to receive when I accepted HIM. I want that peace in my life that was proclaimed at His birth. Help me to remember that gift of peace and manifest it in my life even in the midst of my problems.
